Transhipment crane operator – Moerdijk

Can you picture yourself operating a massive 580 shovel or a Liebherr 954 crane? Then we’ve got a great job for you. Here in the Netherlands, at our site in Moerdijk.

At the NRC site in Moerdijk, you’ll be helping to recycle various materials. You’ll be part of a close-knit team that’s always there for one another. This isn’t your standard 7 am to 4 pm job. It’s a job for anyone who knows how to get stuck in. You’ll work in shifts using modern Liebherr machines, processing tonnes of material every day.

What will you be doing?

• Operating a crane and/or wheel loader

• Sorting incoming waste streams using a sorting grapple

• Unloading and loading semi-trailers

• Working alongside a permanent team of colleagues

• Helping out on site where necessary, such as with maintenance and repairs to our machinery

• Working in shifts; there are 3 shifts per day

What do you get?

• A salary of between €2,400 and €2,850 gross every 4 weeks, based on a 40-hour week

• You’ll receive a 15% three-shift allowance

• Payment always goes straight into your account every 4 weeks

• A permanent contract after 7 months – subject to satisfactory performance

• 26 days’ annual leave and 8.33% holiday pay

• Two-thirds of your pension is paid by NRC, via the BPL pension fund

What are we looking for?

• Experience with a transhipment crane

• You enjoy working with machinery and technology, and you’re good with your hands

• You like to get stuck in and can work independently

• You enjoy being part of a team

• Category B driving licence (CE would be an advantage)

• An initial telephone interview with Merel or a colleague. We’ll see if we’re a good fit.

• The second interview is with your line manager, and you’ll come to Moerdijk for a one-day trial.
