Crane or excavator operator – Europe

Can you picture yourself operating a massive 580 Shovel or a Liebherr 954 crane in Portugal or Sweden? Do you want to put in long hours and earn a good wage? Then we’ve got a great job for you.

At NRC, you’ll be working with large-scale installations at various sites across Europe. You’ll ensure our recycling site keeps running smoothly. Without you, work would come to a standstill. You’ll be part of a permanent team you can rely on. This isn’t your typical 7 am to 4 pm job. It’s a role for anyone who knows how to get things done. You’ll be operating modern Liebherr machines at sites where tonnes of material are processed every day.

What will you be doing?

• Operating a crane and/or digger at sites across Europe

• Supplying the recycling plant and keeping it running

• Working alongside a permanent team of colleagues

• Lending a hand where needed, such as with maintenance and repairs to our machinery

What will your week look like?

• You’ll work 10 days abroad, followed by 4 days at home and off

• You’ll be based on site with your colleagues

• You’ll stay in a hotel, guesthouse or team house

• You’ll work in countries such as Germany, Austria, Sweden or Portugal

• In your spare time, you can relax on site or explore the local area. On your days off, you’re allowed to go home

What’s on offer?

• A salary of between €3,500 and €4,000 net per month – including overtime and allowances

• Working long hours means good earnings; you’ll receive an overtime rate of 130%

• Pay is always paid directly into your account every 4 weeks

• Generous overseas allowances and bonuses

• A permanent contract after 7 months

• On site, we cover your accommodation and all meals

• Travel time and travel expenses, such as flight tickets, are covered

• 26 days’ annual leave and 8.33% holiday pay

• Two-thirds of your pension is paid by NRC, via the BPL pension fund

If you work a lot of overtime and add your overseas and expense allowances to that, there are colleagues who take home between €3,500 and €4,000 net per month.

What are we looking for?

• Experience with crane or shovel

• You are handy, love diesel, hydraulics, and large machines

• You are proactive and can work independently

• You enjoy working abroad and love adventure

• You like being part of a team

• Driver's license B (CE is a plus)

• The second interview is with HR, and you will have a trial day in Brakel.

• You will receive a proposal and the terms of employment.
