The VHB Group B.V. is a rapidly growing company that specializes in the processing of MSWI bottom ash. The group includes various subsidiaries in several countries, including the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. With a strong focus on sustainable business operations, the VHB Group plays a crucial role in recovering valuable raw materials and processing waste flows. Within the VHB Group we are looking for a Manager of Legislation and Regulations, Subsidies & Government Relations.

Your role as Legislation, Regulations, Subsidies & Government Relations Manager:

As Manager Legislation and Regulations, Subsidies & Government Relations, you are responsible for managing and optimizing activities related to various subsidies, legislation and regulations, permits and government relations within the VHB Group. The role requires an understanding of both European and national legislation and regulations and a strategic approach to lobbying activities and business development. As a Manager, you act as a point of contact for governments and ensure efficient handling of all permits, notifications and subsidies.

What do we expect from you?

  • Completed university education in law, environmental science, public administration or similar;

  • Knowledge of national and European legislation and regulations;

  • Experience with applying for and managing subsidies;

  • Strong communication skills and lobbying experience;

  • Strategic insight and ability to identify opportunities and risks;

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage projects independently;

  • Excellent command of the Dutch and English language, both oral and written.
