Mechanical Engineer

Your duties as a Mechanical Engineering Engineer:

• You will be involved in designing new machines and improving existing machines;
• You will be involved in making calculations;
• Working out and detailing production drawings in a 3D drawing package.
• You will design yourself or work from specifications. You draw up specifications, produce sketches and principle drawings, check the drawings, analyze execution bottlenecks and propose solutions;
• Works closely with the commercial department and the workshop;
• In the concept phase you know how to come up with different concepts that include facets such as optimization for production and standardization.

You will work for our subsidiaries NRC and Aerinnova in Brakel. NRC Non-ferrous Recovery Company recovers ferrous and non-ferrous metals from waste residues down to smaller than one millimeter by means of special self-developed separation plants. At Aerinnova, we focus on the recovery of high-quality raw materials from metal blends.

We stay ahead of the competition because we own the designed machines and thus get direct feedback to develop our machines even further/better. Moreover, as a Mechanical Engineering Engineer, you will have an overview of the total process from design to implementation! You will report your work and findings to the Lead Engineer during day shift.

• HBO work and thinking level supplemented with a completed education in the direction of Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronics;
• Experience with SolidWorks (or a similar drawing program) or willing and able to learn this quickly;
• You are creative in thinking up technical solutions;
• You are able to work independently and accurately where quality is paramount;
• Due to your flexible, efficient and productive efforts, tasks are completed on time;
• Knowledge of Dutch and German, English is an advantage;
• Strong communication skills.
