Environmental Compliance Manager
Do you have Environmental Compliance experience in the waste, extraction or construction industry?
Part of the VHB group, Rock Solid Processing Limited is a highly respected and market leader in Incinerator Bottom Ash (IBA) recycling and currently seek an Environmental Compliance Manager for our UK business. Vacancy: Environmental Compliance Manager
Location: South West United Kingdom (UK) Homebased – Travel required
Salary: £45k-£50k, subject to qualifications and experience
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Benefits: Home based / Remote, Company car, Company pension plan, Company laptop and mobile,

As our Environmental Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for all of the following Environmental business areas.
This will include:
- Carrying out Environmental site screening and site inspections
- Managing and ensuring site environmental compliance
- Managing Incinerator Bottom Ash Aggregate (IBAA) compliance with EA and SEPA IBAA Regulatory Position statements
- Carrying out Environmental Audits and periodic reviews in respect of IBAA and IBAA end users
- Working in partnership with the relevant regulatory authorities (The EA/SEPA) to ensure the company’s environmental compliance in all areas
- Assessing the environmental risk to surface water and ground water from IBAA to secure regulatory approval for IBAA end uses.
- Internal Environmental reporting to Company Management and liaison with clients and associated management
- Prepare, submit and manage environmental permit applications and variations
- Environmental incident investigation and reporting
- Supporting ongoing ISO 14001 compliance in partnership with the Company Management
- Any other duties that may be required to meet the needs of the business
- Full clean driving licence. Must be prepared to Travel UK wide.
Previous skills and experience required:
- Min. 5 years environmental experience in waste or extraction industry
- Environmental Management qualification BSc Degree/NEBOSH/Environmental Management qualification or Level 6 qualified
- Min 3 years Environmental permitting compliance experience
- Environmental Management auditing qualification/ISO certification (ISO 14001).
Preferred skills and/or experience required:
- Membership to professional bodies IEMA/CIWM/equivalent
- Waste classification experience -Aggregates Quality Protocols, End of Waste submission and Factory Production Control and ConSim modelling
- Experience of GHG and Carbon emissions reporting
- Experience of EHS software systems, literate in Microsoft office suite.
